Before I get to all the get better stuff, I want to catch you up on my vacation and seminars I recently did.
I traveled to England and Ireland to do some 3-day seminar/camps. I was very excited to have promoter extraordinaire, Suby Ali setting up the England camp and the Irish Strength Institute setting up the camp in Ireland. This would end well, but man did it get off to a bad start.
I wanted to do a recap on the Toronto Pro 212 contest experience, before I head off to Alaska for the Artic Pro – so here goes!
So what has been going on in my life since the Arnold?
I answer 4 questions from members of my website here. I talk about what I do to make the 212 weight class, if my training style is appropriate for naturals, how not to go crazy during a diet, and also how to manage stress in one’s life.
It is unbelievable how fast time flies. It is crazy to think the Arnold is now over. I wanted to give you some of the behind the scenes, snippets of what I did, and other goodies you might find interesting.
Here we are, down to 2 weeks! I am now at my all-time best. I am 213.8 in the morning. I am excited as I have never had this much detail. There has been a ton of things going on.
This is my favorite video ever. Time goes by so fast. This is when our twins were 19 months old in 2010.
Here we are, down to 4 weeks! I am waking up at a very dry 217 right now. There might be a tad bit of fat left on me, but not much.
My weight had been stuck for 2 weeks so last week I made some pretty tough changes but they paid off well.
I eliminated the evening rice
I changed the meal 6 fish to 1 cans of tuna.
Here we are, down to 5 weeks! Actually less as I am writing this on Monday 2.1.2016.
I didn’t make any diet changes this week except in 2 of the meal 6’s I switched to canned tuna just for a different taste, and also one meal 5 I switched to filet as I generally try to eat more red meat when sick. I doubt this helps, doesn’t seem to be helping right now.
Now that the show is becoming very real. It is only 6 weeks out. I like the role of being the underdog here, I have nothing to lose and am going all out. I am posing every night now. Right now I do 4 rounds of quarter turns and mandatories. This will increase. In 2 weeks I have Fouad Abiad coming to build my night show routine for me as well. He is an unbelievable poser, and I have no problems asking for help.
Here are we are at about 7 weeks out. This last week I really fought the flu as we passed it around the house several times. I usually take Nyquil and Robitussin DM before bed every night when I get the flu and it knocks it out fast, but man this was a persistent bug. I am sure many of you can relate based on the number of emails I have received with people out sick.
Here are we are at about 8 weeks out. Below is my diet change for the week and the addition of cardio.
Cardio started on Monday. I started on a 3% incline and walking at 2.5 on the treadmill. I get crazy cramps in my calves the first few days but then it goes away. My speed will pick up some as I get in better shape.
Happy New Year everyone! I am celebrating the New Year eating cod and doing diet specials. Don’t feel bad for me though, as I had a lifetime supply of my favorite food, pecan pie, last week. I can still taste the calorically dense bolus of goodness…
Health and Fitness became a passion of mine at a very young age. I remember very vividly traveling to the local sundry store with my grandmother, and sitting on the floor in the magazine section, reading the “Anatomy and Physiology” section in Muscle and Fitness. I don’t think too many other 12 year olds were […]
Happy Holidays Everybody!
I recently mentioned that I would list out the supplements I am taking now, so I first wanted to make good on that and show you my list.
These are more of the day to day health supplements. This is why you don’t see the IntraMD or IntraMD EAA+. Those are year round supplements for me that I never do without!
Good day everyone. I hope training is going well and you are demolishing some hard earned post workout pancakes!
I recently was able to travel to Scotland to present and do a 3-day workshop.
So here we are about 3 months after San Antonio. What have I been doing?
Well I have been doing a lot of business stuff! Hopefully by now you have tried the new food bars I made with my business partner Mike at Best Bar Ever.
