I prefer to use these types of handles for pushdowns and for row and pulldown variations. I believe you can target the muscle better, and get higher quality contractions. Give these a shot!

John Meadows on Stiff-Legged Deadlifts. Keep the bar in tight, push your hips back, keep your spine flat (not overarched), and crush your hams! Bend your knees a little at the bottom of the movement too to avoid injury.
