Should You Train Front Delts?
by Cris Edmonds on February 19, 2025Front Delts for most, are over-developed. And to me its bc so many young guys (including myself) spent year hammering the flat bench press.
But Cris, that’s a chest exercise…..on paper, yes. However most use much more delt and triceps than actual pecs.
Then on shoulder day, they spend a majority of their prime effort on db, bb and machine pressing assuming that’s where the meat to the shoulder will come from.
Lastly when they finally get to side and rear delt exercises they are fatigued and the traps get most of the load.
If this is you, I HIGHLY recommend not doing direct front delt work and to spend most of your time hammering side and rear detls.
But if you do fall into the category of needing more front, I give you some exercises to get them progressing.
