All Exercises are NOT Created Equal

by on June 18, 2024

I am all for substituting exercises when the case calls for it, here are some examples:

1) Your gym doesn’t have the given machine or set up
2) A group of people are using the station you need (not worth losing your pump)
3) An exercise is causing negative pain
4) You are no longer progressing on an exercise

So I really encourage you all to be smart and when swapping an exercise switch with an equally as taxing/productive exercise.

For example: a leg extension will NOT replace a Squat or Leg Press.

Here are some equal subs to a bb back squat: Yoke bar squat, front squat, heel elevated smithe machine squat, hack squat, leg press.
