by John Meadows on April 23, 2012

February 2012: Expert Interview with Dr. Ryan Smith

by John Meadows on February 23, 2012

I am a chiropractor and I have a special interest in sports injury and rehab. My office, Synergy Chiropractic Wellness Clinic, is located in Columbus, Ohio. It is inside the Columbus Sports Connection fitness center, so I have access to an entire gym when working with patients on rehab exercises or educating them on proper lifting form/technique to help them avoid or recover from injury.

by John Meadows on January 16, 2012

You’d have to be living on Mars not to know that Louie Simmons is the unrivaled powerlifting and strength guru on planet Earth. For nearly forty years he has been the most creative mind the sport has ever known. Nearly one-hundred percent of all major strength programs are based on concepts and methods that were pioneered, tested and proven by the master himself.

by John Meadows on September 24, 2011

The majority of my time is spent as president of Cressey Performance, a facility just west of Boston that I co-founded in 2007. While we work with athletes and general fitness clients from all walks of life, we’ve carved out a nice niche for us with baseball players, which constitute about 80-85% of our clientele.

by John Meadows on April 24, 2011

I am pleased to announce that this month’s interview will be with a gentleman named Dr. Will Finnegan. I thought Will would be a perfect interview for our site, and here is why. First of all he is a pharmacist that is educated beyond what is offered in school. He goes above and beyond to understand what he does at a deeper level than most pharmacists out there

January 2011: Jeff Volek, PHD (Part 2)

by John Meadows on January 24, 2011

Taking a step back for perspective it is important to realize that if you are consuming 60-75% of your total energy as fat, picking the right types of fat containing foods becomes important. This is especially true when you are consuming maintenance levels calories because the absolute amount of fat will be quite high.

Also, if you have already read my review of the NSCA Nutritional Symposium, you’ll understand why this is so exciting to me.
