Chilli Chocolate Protein Ball: Pre-Workout

  • 1 teaspoon melted coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ serving of chocolate WPI
  • 2 teaspoons raw cacao powder
  • Chilli flakes for rolling


Melt the coconut oil and add the cacao powder, stir well to remove any lumps and then add the honey. Microwave for 10 seconds or just enough that the honey has softened and combines with the oil and chocolate, then add your cinnamon and cayenne pepper.

Add the WPI in small amounts so you don’t add too much. You have the right consistency when your mixture resembles wet sand – clumping together in some spots but needing to be rolled in order to stay in a ball shape. Once the ball is formed, roll in chilli flakes to garnish.

Chill in the fridge for five to ten minutes and eat prior to your Mountain Dog workout.
