EASY Guacamole Recipe – Getting the Good Fats in!

by on January 15, 2013

Ingredients

  • 2 avocados (ripe)
  • 1 tomato (ripe)
  • Pinch of season salt
  • Garlic powder to taste

Preparation
1. Spilt the avocados, discard the seed and spoon meat into a dish to blend. (I use a hand blender, but you can also use a small mixer, magic bullet, or just some good old fashion elbow grease!
2. Half the tomato, squeeze juices into dish, discard the skin.
3. Blend until smooth.
4. Mix in seasoning salt and garlic powder, stir until blended.

Add to your diet to mix things up! Amazing when topped on chicken breast, or added into sweet potatoes.

Tip: to speed up the ripening process of avocados, put them in dish with ripe bananas. Ripe bananas give off a gas which helps to hasten the ripening process. To know it is ripe without squeezing it (may cause bruising), push on the stem. It will not push in until the avocado is ripe enough!
