BRUTAL WORKOUTS

Program X – 3 Week Leg Progression: October 2017 Workout of the Month

by John Meadows on October 31, 2017

So I have been getting a lot of inquiries about a program I wrote years ago that combined bodybuilding with some of the things I learned while training at Westside barbell in the 90’s.

Taskmaster Arm Week: September 2017 Workout of the Month

by John Meadows on September 29, 2017

Ok so here is a full week of high frequency arms (I just included the Arm workouts) from the most recent program I dropped the Taskmaster. I thought you would enjoy seeing what a high frequency week looks like! Give this a shot and let me know what you think!

Chest and Shoulders: August 2017 Workout of the Month

by John Meadows on August 28, 2017

Nothing looks more powerful sitting poolside with your wife and kids than a full chest and round set of delts. Give this August workout of the Month a shot during your next session.

Arms Explosion: July 2017 Workout of the Month

by John Meadows on July 13, 2017

Ok so this is weird. You all know I am not exactly into training arms a lot, but I am NOW! Ha! This past weekend in Denmark I put one of the training groups through this. It was very cool, as we held a contest to see who could get their arms the most pumped. Every guy gained 1 inch minimum, and the winner’s arms actually pumped up 2 full inches. It was retarded awesome.

Arms – Occluded Arm Demise: June 2017 Workout of the Month

by John Meadows on June 27, 2017

After such a great response to the Occluded Leg Workout in May, I thought why not follow this insanity up with an arm day with the same premise. You thought legs were bad……good luck brushing your teeth or combing your hair after this workout.

Legs – Occluded Death: May 2017 Workout of the Month

by John Meadows on May 23, 2017

More legs again, yes. I have been doing this, and have been extremely happy with how it is working.
Give this a shot, and I think you’ll find it to be very very nasty.
Hint – this is the style that my next program is headed into.

Leg Onslaught: April 2017 Workout of the Month

by John Meadows on April 11, 2017

Here is a leg workout from week 1 of my newest program called Onslaught, set to be released mid-April! Enjoy. The first 4 weeks are high frequency for legs hence the lower number of sets. This is workout 1 of 3 that week for leg and is quad heavy.

Leg 1.5 Rep Attack: July 2016 Workout of the Month

by John Meadows on July 28, 2016

This is a recent workout I did with Joe Thomas, who just won his pro card and is making his debut at the Tampa Pro in 3 weeks!

Back Classic Attack: June 2016 Workout of the Month

by John Meadows on June 30, 2016

I had IFBB Pro Ken Jackson in town this week and we did a classic back workout, not the recent shorter high frequency workout, but it was an awesome session, so I wanted to share it this month!

High Frequency Arms: May 2016 Workout of the Month

by John Meadows on May 30, 2016

This is another high frequency program workout, but it’s a simple arm workout. You could actually do this 3 times a week if your elbows are healthy and you keep your effort at 8-9 on the chart below. You could also bump the intensity up to all 10’s, but do this twice a week as well.

High Voltage Upper Body #2: April 2016 Workout of the Month

by John Meadows on May 3, 2016

Ok, here it. Another high frequency program workout. This is about midway through the program so the volume and intensity has climbed quite a bit.

High Voltage Upper Body #1: March 2016 Workout of the Month

by John Meadows on March 31, 2016

I don’t want to let the cat quite out of the bag yet, but let’s just say I am working on a high frequency program that just may be Mountain Dog 2.0.
